Death is one of the few things in this world that we can count on, but that doesn’t make it any
easier to deal with. And the way we typically deal with death is either by avoiding the topic
completely, or by an equally unhealthy acceptance of it as a “natural part of life.”

The fact is, God wants us to understand death, not avoid it! And when we understand it, we
learn that there is nothing “natural” about it!
Death is not a part of God’s economy. He is the God of the living, not the dead! And the best
way to deal with it is to understand that Christ has dealt with it for us!
